Today we had a very fun day creating Christmas cards with our learning buddies. We were inspired to use Bingo daubers to create our cards when we saw pictures on Mrs. Bremer’s classroom blog. It was fun creating new patterns and ideas for the Christmas cards. Everyone was very creative and did a fabulous job!
On Friday we compared writing an email to writing a letter. My students learned they can send an email by using the computer, iPad, or phone. An email is sending a message to someone. Secret Agent 2 said, “you need to remember to say nice things to other people.” We also talked about mailing a letter. Secret Agent 1 said, “that we go to the post office to send a letter.”
At the end of the lesson students learned how to write a letter and what they need to include when they are writing a letter to family or friends. To make it easier we decided to write our letter on paper and we just scanned it so their work could be added onto their individual blog. Check out everyone’s individual blogs to see what my students wrote in their letters to a classmate! This week students will be working on writing replies to their classmates letter!

1. Games– we get to play cards like bump and war to practice our adding and subtracting skills.
2. Matheletics– it is a computer program that we get to play games to get better at knowing our numbers better.
3. Math Writing– we get to represent the number of the day in many different ways.
4. Making Numbers– we get to make numbers using ten rods and unit cubes.
5. Math Work- We complete different pages practicing the concepts that Mrs. Kyle taught us.
6. Guided Math- we work with Mrs. Kyle doing activities and practice learning math concepts.
