“We went to a presentation in the gym” (Agent #1). “We learned about a guy who saved a boy. The guy’s name was Jim Settee” (Agent #2). “The lady keeps things in a matchbox” (Agent #9). “We saw a snowflake in the treasure box” (Agent #16). “The snowflake means that everybody’s different” (Agent #12). “She had a rock and bell that reminded her about the quietness inside” (Agent #6). “I learned about the bouncy ball” (Agent #4). “The ball looks like the Earth. It reminds us that we are one big family” (Agent #7). “I learned about the ant” (Agent #3). “It taught us not to disturb the ants” (Agent #8). “She had a sash” (Agent #14). “We learned about the Metis people” (Agent #7). “My favourite part was when Jim Settee found the boy” (Agent #15).

We learned a lot about First Nations and Metis Teachings from the presentation.  Jeanne Corrigal did an excellent job talking to my students and introducing them to different teachings learned from Mr. Jim Settee.  It was a great morning!
